Paper 1 of the JEE Main 2020 exam (for B.E. and B.Tech) will feature a total of 75 questions (25 Physics, 25 Chemistry, and 25 Maths). The B.Arch. paper (Paper 2) will have a total of 77 questions and the B.Plan paper (Paper 3) will have a total of 100 questions.

Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced

formerly the Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination, is an academic examination held annually in India. It is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board.

JEE is one of the milestones that engineering students need to clear to seek admission into their desired course. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are national-level entrance exams that offer admission in top engineering colleges in India. JEE Main is the main examination that is held by government-supported technical institutions such as NITs and IIITs while JEE-Advanced examination is mainly conducted by IITs and the students must clear JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main is conducted for candidates aspiring for B.Tech courses offered in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs. It is also an eligibility test for candidates preparing for JEE Advanced, which eventually leads to the admission to IITs. The students can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive times; however, JEE Advanced can be taken only for two consecutive years.

JEE/NEET preparation

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

NEET is a exam conducted for a time duration of 3 hours. It has a total of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).  Each question carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

Before NTA, which is an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation, the test was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examination, which offers 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS Colleges of India, is conducted in the month of May every year.

A candidate who wishes to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects. The candidate has to show their passing certificate at the time of the counseling round. Marks in Mathematics are not considered in NEET-undergraduate exam (NEET-UG).

JEE/NEET preparation

AIIMS examination is held for the admission to the MBBS course offered by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. AIIMS is one of the most prestigious institute in India. It is an online test conducted for 3 hours 30 minutes with one paper consisting of multiple choice questions. The test can be taken in either English or Hindi.

Difference between AIIMS and NEET

1. AIIMS entrance exam is for admission in any 1 of all the 6 branches of AIIMS(as per your rank), but cracking NEET is required to apply for any gov/private medical colleges other than AIIMS &JIPMER.
2. AIIMS exam is online based but NEET exam is offline held.
3. AIIMS exam has 200 MCQs to be completed in3.5 hrs,but NEET has 180 MCQs to be completed in 3hrs.
4. AIIMS exam has 60 qs each on Physics,Chemistry & Biology, 10qs on Logical reasoning & 10qs on G.K. ,but NEET has 45 qs each in Physics & Chemistry+90 qs in Biology .
5. AIIMS-Each qs carries 1 mark and 1/3 marks is deducted for incorrect response , but in NEET each qs carries 4 marks & 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect ans.
6. AIIMS exam language- Hindi,English ,but NEET is conducted in 10 Indian languages(Hindi, English,Bengali,Gujarati,Marathi,Kannada,Odia, Tamil,Telugu,Assamese)
7. 25 yrs(UR) is the max. age limit for AIIMS & whereas for NEET 25yrs & 30yrs are the max. age limits for UR & reserved castes respectively.
8. The maximum no of attempts you can give for NEET is 3 but there’s nothing called maximum attempts in AIIMS unless you acquire 25 yrs.
